About Gibson Lamb

Originally formed in 1973, Gibson Lamb has been providing a high quality service and helpful, independent advice for nearly 40 years.

In 2006 David Lamb, the son of co-founder Barrie, and David’s business partner Clive Lynch purchased the business with a view to continuing the successful 'customer first' attitude which is sadly so often lacking in our profession.

Our business has evolved considerably since then and we now concentrate on wealth management and retirement planning for our individual clients via our Private Client Service and, for our commercial clients, staff benefit packages incorporating group pensions, death in-service, long-term sickness and private medical insurance, plus advice with regard to 'key person' assurance.

We have always taken great pride in being early adopters of technology. We started electronic document management in 1998 and have long since worked in a 'less paper' office and continue to have the latest technology at our fingertips whether it is a 'wrap platform' for our wealth management or voice recognition for controlling systems within the office.

Meet The Team

  • David Lamb

    David Lamb - Owner & Advisor

    Dave joined Gibson Lamb in 1993 after graduating from Bristol University. Working closely with the businesses founders, Dave learned the trade and qualified as an advisor in 2001.

    Dave has been responsible for introducing the technology that is fundamental to our business, works closely with members of our Private Client Service and is rarely without a gadget of some sort. Dave is now a co-owner of the business and is working towards his Diploma in Financial Planning.

  • Clive Lynch

    Clive Lynch - Owner & Advisor

    Clive built a business relationship with Gibson Lamb during the 1990s whilst working for a number of leading insurance companies, before a period as an advisor with another firm. Clive joined Gibson Lamb in 2003 and became a co-owner in 2006, focusing on looking after our corporate relationships and members of the Private Client Service.

    Clive’s technical knowledge is unsurpassed and he reached the Diploma in Financial Planning status in 2011.

  • Andrew Gibson

    Andrew Gibson - Advisor

    Andrew originally formed Gibson Lamb in 1973 with his Partner, Barrie Lamb who is, of course, Dave Lamb’s father.

    Andrew’s knowledge, experience & enthusiasm is invaluable and we have retained his services on a part time basis since the management buy-out in 2006. Andrew works exclusively with members of our Private Client Service.

  • Emma Mcmahon

    Emma McMahon - Office Manager

    Emma joined Gibson Lamb in 1998 originally as a key part of our secretarial team. Emma’s drive and determination has led to a number of promotions and Emma is now responsible for making the office function on a daily basis, as well as being the first point of contact for a number of our corporate clients and administering our Private Medical Insurance schemes.

    Emma holds Certificates in Financial Administration and Regulated Customer Care.

  • Lisa Dennett

    Lisa Dennett - Director, Private Client Service

    Lisa joined Gibson Lamb in 2002 from Legal & General as an administrator in our Pension department. Following the introduction of our Private Client Service in 2008, Lisa has taken over the day to day responsibility for our premier service proposition.

    Working closely with our advisors as well as attending client meetings, Lisa's attention to detail and knowledge makes her ideally suited to be the first point of contact for Private Client Service members. Lisa holds Certificates in Regulated Customer Care and Financial Planning.

  • Vicky Baldwin

    Vicky Baldwin - Director, Administration

    Vicky joined Gibson Lamb in 2000 having worked for a number of insurance companies. Vicky is incredibly patient, calm and has a great eye for detail.

    Vicky is responsible for one of the most important roles within the office which is the administrative function, dealing with increasingly challenging insurance companies as well as being the first point of contact for a number of our corporate & private clients. Vicky holds Certificates in Financial Administration and Regulated Customer Care.
